Support Worker for Energetic 25-Year-Old Adrenalin Junkie
We are looking for Support Workers to be part of a small, dedicated team supporting a 25-year-old adrenaline Junkie male with his full program of activities each week and supporting him within his family home during the morning and evenings.

This young male is very active on a day-to-day basis with a daily routine that he likes to follow, He loves accessing the community with a huge interest in theme park rides, heart racing activities and Sports. He also enjoys downtime and having his own space in the evening where he can relax. His weekly activities include the following and more!
Going to Fun Fairs / Pleasure Beach
Swimming
Bowling
Trampolining
Tennis
Golf
The young male has Autism, sensory processing disorder, learning disabilities and relies on support to be able to do the things he loves. As well as doing all the awesome daily activities, we also support him within his family home where he has a well-established routine you will assist him with completing his routines which includes support with preparation and access to food, drink and medication. There are minimal personal care requirements as the young male is very independent with personal care tasks.
The young male has limited verbal communication, he does not have a hearing impairment however he chooses to use British Sign Language (BSL) as a preferred method of communication, along with other communication methods.
What does the young male want from his support workers?
He is happy with male or female support.
He wants you to care, have patience, empathy and a good understanding of his needs, someone who can adapt to supporting him in different environments.
He wants you to be respectful and mindful of his family’s privacy whilst being in the family home.
He will need you to be aware of his emotional needs and support him to navigate his emotions to reach positive outcomes.
He will require you to have good clear communication skills, with an enthusiastic energy when it comes to taking part in his activities.
He would like you to enjoy taking part in sports.
He would love for his support workers to have basic knowledge of BSL and/or the willingness to learn BSL to support his preferred communication method.
